Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from mostly low-income homes where English is not the native language. They face challenges inside and outside the classroom, especially in these unprecedented times. Despite this, they are caring, loving, eager to learn fourth graders who deserve all of the SEL support they can get!

My Project

These items will help my students self regulate their behaviors and emotions in the classroom. Our district has been virtual and in person at different times this year, and when my students return to the building again I want to make sure they have everything they need to be able to succeed academically and social and emotionally.

Without being able to share resources, students have not been exposed to the benefits of a calm down corner this year so I want to bring the calm down corner to them!

These supplies will not only provide students with the chance to wiggle and fidget at their desk, but I plan to use the Teachers Pay Teachers gift card to purchase helpful behavior reflection sheets.
