This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school is launching a recycling program, being spear headed by our Green Club and after school International Baccalaureate Green Team. We are beginning with paper and plastic recycling, and hope to eventually include composting and other environmental earth friendly practices.
By providing education and materials to support the recycling program, we are hoping to launch a sustainable student run program that students can continue to run year after year.
We hope to instill a passion for sustainable, eco-friendly practices that will help the Earth for generations to come. Our hope is that our students bring the education and Earth friendly practices to their families to continue at home and in their community.
