My Students
Maya Angelou said, "You can't use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have." I couldn't agree more. We encourage our children to use their imaginations in our project called, "If I Were Trapped in a Snow Globe." We are "Empowering Students Through Art."
Our third graders are from predominantly low income families.
They come to us lacking background knowledge about a lot of things many of us take for granted. We try to offer them experiences they otherwise would not get. We do creative projects that bring out the best of their imaginations.
My Project
The art materials we are requesting will help our students create snow globes to illustrate their stories. They illustrate the white plates with the picture, the iridescent glitter is the snow and the clear plate is glued on top to replicate a snow globe. The end result is amazing!
The donations to this project will help our students experience a magical snowy creation they will remember for a lifetime.
This project also brings out the best in their imaginations, which will in turn help them feel free to explore their future creativity.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
