My Students
Students are naturally curious about the world around them, and my students are no exception! Questioning, exploring, and taking risks is a daily experience in my classroom that I encourage. I want my students to be prepared to be successful in a 21st-century world. This involves incorporating technology and adapting my teaching every day.
My students come to school to grow and become more prepared for their future careers.
Just because they are in middle school does not mean that they want to be tied to their desks. Instead, my students love to learn hands-on and through technology. This provides unique challenges as their teacher, forcing me to constantly explore how to continue to engage students and not fall behind with technology. It is common for students to ask difficult questions and thrive to learn the most they can in their short time with me!
My Project
As fifth graders make the transition to middle school, they are often scared and nervous. They are starting to become more independent. As an educator, it is my job to help guide them.
These books will help introduce essential social and emotional skills that will make their middle school years and beyond successful.
These books focus on subjects such as problem solving, empathy, working hard, and thinking of other's emotions.
My goal will be to incorporate these books into my lessons throughout the year to help students grow into the best students possible. During this crazy time, students need more support with social and emotional skills than ever before.
