This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My digital native students are seeking technology that can keep up with their need for speed! Our classroom laptop is about to give any day now and there is no help to be found except here at DonorsChoose.org.
My transitional kindergarten students are truly digital natives.
They are excited to be in school and come in everyday eager to learn and try their best. My young students know already that technology is part of one's day just as a pencil is. They ask to use the computer and the smart board regularly. However, funding for our inner city school has come to a halt making it hard for these digital natives to keep up with the pace.
My Project
Providing an updated laptop to use with the smart board will take my young students far beyond their wildest dreams. I will be able to bring the world to them and help them become global learners. The laptop will help bridge their small world within the larger one they live in. They will be able to make connections from one subject area to the next. They will become critical thinkers and leaders.
With your support my transitional kindergarten students will be able to thrive in a classroom that is technologically ready and sophisticated.
