Transitional Kindergarten Classroom

Help me give my students a wonderful transitional kindergarten classroom experience with a dramatic play and art area.

My Project

I am a first year Transitional Kindergarten (TK) teacher. I am planning on doing a lot of center activities in my class and am hoping to get supplies (such as trays for art and a kitchen for dramatic play) to do meaningful projects with my students. These specific items I am requesting will make a difference in my students’ learning by bringing out their imagination and interests. We will be doing a morning meeting every day so we need supplies such as a teacher pointer, calendar, magnetic push pins, and charts. I love doing story time with my students so it would be wonderful to get big books to read and have my students interact with in the class library. My goals for this project are for my students to have access to different types of materials to foster their creativity and a lifelong love for learning.

My students are so special because they come from incredible and diverse backgrounds and all deserve access to an amazing early childhood education program.

I also love doing social-emotional and breathing exercises with my students and the expandable ball is helpful to model the skills. Since this is my first TK classroom, I would love cleaning supplies (such as disinfectant wipes) to keep the class clean. Thank you so much!
