This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We need materials to allow this year to be a an exciting and educational first school experience for these Kindergarten students!

These students are urban kids with a lust for learning!

They are inquisitive and daring; always willing and ready to learn and try something new. As it is most of the children's first experience in school, Kindergarten is exciting and new for them. Even in a district that is constantly cutting funding, these students face obstacles and challenges, while still growing in knowledge.

My Project

With these resources, my students will have new and clean spaces to learn and work. There will be a designated space for group learning and story time, as well as learning through play. They will be able to practice working in groups, and increase their knowledge through center based learning activities.

In a city where poverty is high, and the value of education is low, these students are up against amazing challenges.

As this is their first experience into school and the education system, they deserve to have a rich and valuable learning environment. By donating towards these supplies, you're helping these student achieve not only learning goals for this year, but instill a love for learning that continues throughout their school years.
