Help me give my students a room transformation. The black lights will help to give the students an extraordinary experience during the transformation. The other materials (glow in the dark magnet tiles, bulletin board paper, planet stickers) will supplement the black light experience.
I teach 21 amazing 4th graders who are from a rural, Title I school. At our school, we strive to give each child a positive learning environment. We support each child, teacher, and parent equally. Most of the children have been in classes together since they started school, which makes the relationships strong and sibling-like. We all support and challenge each other every single day! Our school is a great place to learn and grow together.

I teach through station teaching. Each day, my students pick a flexible seat and rotate through stations to complete their daily lessons and assignments.
My Project
Room transformations are proven to engage students deeper into learning. The black light will give me the opportunity to establish several room transformations during the school year.

Math, science, and reading will be targeted through the room transformation. Math curriculum will be used during our geometry lesson and SOL Review. We will incorporate science through our solar system unit. Reading and math review for SOL's will be extremely engaging through the use of the black lights, neon tape, and markers.
Students will become more engaged through the use of the glue sticks and other glow in the dark items. The room transformation will take magnificent material and turn it into an extraordinary experience.
