My Project
Our school's Student Operated Credit Union - The Tiger's Den has just had its grand opening. We would like this place to be more than just a spot for financial literacy— but a inspiring haven for our students. Dealing with the pandemic challenges, we're taking charge to ensure a cool learning space. We want to jazz up our setup, making it a cozy spot for both students and faculty to practice their saving habits.
Our project's got three main parts to amp up the SOCU vibe.
First up, a free-standing whiteboard will be our interactive hub for financial info, creating a sense of community and keeping everyone in the loop. Next, we're going all out to transform the place using a balloon arch kit, themed decorations (think tiger and jungle vibes), and symbolic balloons (yes, money-shaped ones) to make it an inviting space. We're all about open talks on financial stuff and boosting everyone's mood.
The third piece of the puzzle is all about letting creativity shine. We're handing out coloring markers and photo cards for some artsy expression while expressing our appreciation to everyone who participated, along with inspirational notebooks, snacks, and stickers as cool rewards to make our students feel accomplished while they are learning their money management know-hows.
So, it's not just about sprucing up the place; it's about creating an environment that feeds into financial smarts in every way. By turning our SOCU spot into a chill space, we're helping our students roll with the punches of COVID-19.
