Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The rug I am requesting will provide a dedicated and comfortable space for my 4th grade dual language students to gather during read-aloud stories, math talks, and other collaborative learning activities. Each student will have their own assigned spot, which will promote a sense of ownership and responsibility. Having a clear, structured area for these activities will help minimize distractions and foster a positive, focused environment for our learning time together.
My goal is to create a comfortable and engaging learning space that will encourage collaboration, focus, and participation.
The rug will allow my students to sit together for meaningful group discussions, making our learning experiences more interactive. By having a designated area, I can better manage transitions and ensure that all students feel included and comfortable during critical moments of learning, like read-aloud stories and math discussions.
My students are special because they are learning in both English and Spanish, and they are deeply invested in their bilingual education. They bring unique perspectives to our classroom, and they thrive in a dynamic, interactive learning environment. They are hardworking, inquisitive, and always eager to collaborate with one another. Despite the challenges they may face, their resilience and enthusiasm for learning make them exceptional individuals. A rug will help create a welcoming space that celebrates their strengths and supports their ongoing growth.
