This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
1,440 hours. That is the minimum amount of time students will spend in this classroom each school year, which is more walking hours they spend than in their own homes. My students deserve a classroom that feels welcoming, comfortable, and inclusive - a space where they feel seen, heard, and inspired to learn. With your help, I want to transform our learning space by adding thoughtful decorations such as culturally representative posters, calming lights, and positive affirmation wall art. Items like the pencil sharpener, mesh bags, and whiteboard erasers help keep the classroom organized for both the teacher and students.
These items will not only brighten our room but also promote a sense of belonging and pride in every child who walks through our door.
My 7th graders are full of curiosity, creativity, and a growing love for reading. I'd love to add to our reading corner with a cozy rug and comfortable seating. A well decorated reading area will not only encourage independent reading but also help students build positive relationships with books in a space that feels special to them.
