This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

After COVID-19 my students lacked confidence in ELA. I am transforming my classroom to support social emotional needs by building confidence in ELA. By providing different classroom climate throughout the year, it helps students stay at ease while tackling tough content.

Classroom transformations have proven to excite students about topics and be engaged at a rigorous level all while supporting social emotional learning especially since Covid-19.

Students are able to retain rigorous content because of memorable experiences from classroom transformations. COVID-19 made a huge impact on learning and attendance having lack of interest. Students struggled to engage and lost motivation. Classroom transformations have made learning fun and have encouraged student growth. The materials I have requested will help me make multiple classroom transformations by changing the lighting, backdrops, and themes related to ELA. It helps my special education students and ELL students enjoy education more.
