My Project
In our high school geometry class, students are exploring the beauty of symmetry and transformations through a creative and hands-on approach. To connect mathematical concepts to real-world applications, students will design T-shirts and Valentine's Day-themed wear using reflections, rotations, translations, and dilations. This project allows students to express their creativity while solidifying their understanding of geometric principles in a practical, engaging way.
To bring their designs to life, we aim to purchase Sawgrass SubliJet printer ink, enabling students to create and print their wearable masterpieces.
Our co-taught geometry class serves English Language Learners in a school where all students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. This project not only enhances academic learning but also fosters collaboration, boosts confidence, and provides a tangible sense of accomplishment. With your support, our students can proudly display their unique creations while mastering essential math skills.
