This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My vision entails educating both students and parents about the significance of mindfulness and yoga. I aim to integrate my social-emotional learning skills to teach children about the importance of nutrition, mindful eating, and organic gardening. My goal is to refine my teaching methods, deepen my knowledge of mindfulness and yoga, and enhance my ability to nurture these vital skills essential for healthy living, healing, and societal transformation within my school and community.

This training opportunity will enable me to fortify my comprehension of yoga by delving into chair yoga, sequencing, restorative yoga, and yoga philosophy.

Furthermore, it will empower me to expand my expertise as an educator in social-emotional learning and mindfulness. This transformative experience will equip me with invaluable tools and support to facilitate healing and foster positive social change.
