My Students

Isn't it a thrill to read a book that you cannot put down? I want for my students to have the same feeling. My class needs a high level literature set to keep them engaged in reading quality books throughout the year.

My students are FANTASTIC!

Unfortunately for them, they are being educated during a time when resources are being drastically cut. We need materials to supplement our current resources. It is imperative that students always have a variety of books available to them.

My Project

One great novel can be the gateway for a student to keep on reading. This novel has so many messages that are important to my students- empathy, tolerance, perseverance, and love for yourself. This story is not only a tale of survival; it is a tale of transformation and hope. By meeting on a regular basis to read and discuss this book, it will help them become more avid readers who talk about books both in and outside the classroom.

My goal is to create a community of eager readers.
