My students need to have room transformations to build engagement, excitement and education in our classroom. These transformations will include a Spy School, Toy Story STEAM Mania, and Glow Party Revolution.
We are the Bucket Fillers! This means we fill the "buckets" of everyone we are in contact with each and every day. We are kind to all! We spend our days learning and growing together. Each day is an exciting adventure. We are amazing! We are the only STEM-focused elementary school in the area with a specific focus on engineering.
This donation will help provide my students with the materials to help them grow in the areas of STEM.
Our school has over 400 students. We are not a Title I funded school, so we do not receive many of the resources that other schools may have. The average class size is between 25-30 students. We have a strong commitment to excellence and a great parent network. Our staff works together to support our students in any way possible so all students can succeed.

I want my students to be excited to come to school and always interested to see what learning we have ahead of us.
Room transformations help to keep the engagement high in our classroom.
A room transformation is when I take my students to a whole new "place" by changing the way our classroom looks. For example, when we were learning about light, we turned our classroom into a cave for the day. Black paper was used to block out the light, bat sounds were played, and we used flashlights to complete our work throughout the day. We were able to learn so much about how light travels, but the students didn't think of it as work.
This project will help me transform my classroom into 3 different themes: Toy Story STEAM Mania, Spy School and Glow Party Revolution! For the Spy School, I will add string, glow tape and other decor that will be lit up with the black lights. We will use the black lights and glow sticks for an amazing Glow Party. Lastly, Toy Story STEAM Mania will transform our room with the Toy Story decorations up. Not only will the students be pumped because of the look of the room, but they will be learning all day long. We will complete STEAM activities, reading, writing, math and science activities focused around these transformations. So, not only does it engage students, but we are learning the curriculum also. Please help me bring some exciting days to my students before the end of the year!
