This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Third-grade math is HARD. Engaging students to be excited about it is even harder. This project includes materials to transform our classroom in order to review our math unit at the end of all the lessons for the chapter. These materials will make a difference in student learning because they will have students excited about math the second they walk in and see the room has been transformed into various locations. These locations include a construction site, an Italian restaurant, a circus and coffee shop!

If students are excited, they will be engaged!

From the moment they see the banners decorating our classroom walls, they will be so excited to learn! Wearing the hats, aprons, and costumes will get them excited about the themed math lesson all while working on their math skills. The possibilities are endless. Room transformations, here we come!
