Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach reading to multiple grade levels, working with some of the most vulnerable readers in our school. These students often struggle with literacy and risk losing confidence in their reading abilities. I want to transform my classroom into a vibrant hub where they can build essential skills and develop a love for books. With this grant, I aim to purchase soft, supportive beanbag chairs to create a comfortable, calming space where students can focus, collaborate, and engage more deeply with reading.

This investment in flexible seating is essential for creating an inclusive and stimulating environment that caters to diverse learning styles. By providing students with the choice to select their preferred learning spots, we empower them to improve focus, enhance reading comprehension, and foster a genuine love for reading.
