Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Myself and Mrs. A (Chess Coaches) would like to express how healthy snack options would help benefit our after-school Chess Club. Your support of our after-school programs will help feed students that participate and are hungry. The students we teach come from very low-income households. Since many students are economically disadvantage, having snacks are an enormous motivator for attending consistently.
These snacks would ensure that our students do not go without.
We are requesting snack donations for our chess club, as we believe that providing nutritional snacks is essential for our low-income students. These snacks will enhance their focus and engagement during club activities, ultimately contributing to a positive learning environment. We appreciate your consideration and support in helping us achieve this goal.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
