This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The items from this project will help students who use mobility devices (reverse walkers, gait trainers, and walking canes) improve their locomotor skills. The size of the slant boards aligns perfectly with students' mobility devices, allowing them to step up and down safely. Having a mini walking pad for students will give them their first experience walking on a treadmill.
This group of kids are trailblazers because they are full of energy and always exhibit strength and perseverance.
My students are great problem solvers. They are constantly discovering better ways of how to navigate around obstacles. They must navigate their mobility devices over door ledges, around sharp corners, and through doorways. With your help, I can nurture and encourage their tenacity.
