Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I am the wellness leader and school nurse at my school. I am requesting a pedometer for each of the students, to make tracking their steps simple. I wish to do a school wide campaign and have students log their steps daily.

The campaign goals are to encourage physical activity, to teach students about the importance of maintaining healthy habits, to help students learn how to keep track of their health related efforts, and to have students feel united as a team in the process.

This is knowledge that the children can carry with them throughout the rest of their lives. Each child at our school is special and each child is a member of our school family.
