This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I'm seeking support to help my students track their running laps more efficiently. Currently, our method of recording laps using a form is becoming increasingly cumbersome for teachers. I've learned that another running club has successfully implemented tablets for lap tracking, and I am convinced that adopting this technology will significantly enhance our process.
Wellness is a vital aspect of an active lifestyle, encompassing physical, mental, and social well-being.
These elements interact in ways that profoundly influence overall health, and we must understand and address them effectively. Utilizing tablets will empower us to elevate our wellness initiatives and provide a more engaging experience for the students.
Additionally, using a megaphone will ensure that all students can hear instructions clearly, even from a distance. Given the size of the blacktop area where we'll be running, clear communication is crucial.
Furthermore, incorporating a tripod for recording our new and improved obstacle course will streamline our efforts considerably. Instead of struggling to hold the phone and capture footage simultaneously, I can set it on the tripod to document the students' participation effectively. This video can then be shared with DonorsChoose, allowing them to witness the impact of our program firsthand.
By investing in these tools, we can create a more organized, inspiring, and effective environment for our students' fitness journey. Together, we can enhance their experience and foster a love for running!
