I teach 7th and 8th grade Social Studies in Cleveland, Ohio. Teaching in an urban setting can be challenging but it also is very rewarding. My students come to school eager and excited to learn! Unfortunately, many come from low socioeconomic backgrounds and do not have access to what they need in their homes, nevertheless for school.
My students deserve to have the tools and resources they need to succeed in school.
Many of my students are English language learners and/or have special needs. In order for my students to be successful, I need to provide them with various learning opportunities, resources and tools to meet their individual needs. They are an amazing group of students who enjoy learning.
During this difficult time, my district is beginning the school year remotely. In addition, I am teaching Social Studies, which is a new subject area for me. A Teacher Pay Teacher (TpT) gift card will provide me with the opportunity to obtain resources made by teachers for teachers.
Providing my students with engaging activities, lessons and tools is imperative for them to be successful in my class.
The resources that I can purchase include digital lessons, escape rooms, guided notes, posters, interactive activities and so much more! Using TpT resources will allow me to focus on integrating our new digital learning system and making sure it is running smoothly for my students.
