This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am requesting one gift card to TeachersPayTeachers (TpT). TpT has become a necessity for today's teachers attempting to fill educational gaps. TpT is a website providing high-quality materials created by teachers for teachers.
TPT's digital library of files will allow me to support students where they lack in background knowledge by having interactive, colorful, engaging, digital resources students love both in school and at home.
I love using TpT materials to enhance, not replace, what I do in the classroom. I am able to provide extra resources to build and support background knowledge to promote literacy amongst my young readers. As we navigate a new ELA curriculum, I will be able to better support my students with rich vocabulary and more visuals. This is especially needed for English Language Learners.
This TpT gift card will allow me to purchase these materials for my first graders and make it easier for my students to succeed and be better engaged in their learning both within and outside the classroom.
