My Project

My favorite resource as a teacher is Teachers Pay Teachers. This year in my Life Skills Classroom, we have concentrated on learning task based skills.

As we continue to learn work skills, Teachers Pay Teachers is a huge resource for this type of activity!

TPT has many options for restaurant orders, packing shelves, checking expiration dates, sorting products and there is even one for taking grill orders! Each one of these resources are printed, laminated and put into a work box that the students can take to their desk or the table and complete the tasks. We can even work in pairs with one student as the customer and the other as the employee!

Not only are the students learning skills that they can take with them forward, they are also having fun and learning a little pretend activity that will benefit them in the real world.

Each day I can find new items that will help the students and keep them interested in the activity. It never gets old!
