This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Teachers Pay Teachers is an excellent tool for finding new stimulating resources to teach students. The materials on Teachers Pay Teachers are creative, highly engaging, and appealing to all learners to maximize student engagement and build students' knowledge in a different and engaging way. The resources on Teachers Pay Teachers are subject-based, grade-level appropriate, standard-aligned, current, and fun for all learners.
I am seeking to give my students new learning materials that support the different learning styles and needs of all of my students; since I have been creating materials for my computing and coding class, where we also cover engineering principles, and this project would allow me to purchase some resources to include financial literacy as part of our curriculum and to support my students learning.
Using the resources I will buy in TPT, my students will choose a profession, calculate provincial and federal taxes, and budget their income using the 50/30/20 rule. Regarding Coding, I am planning on getting some Unplugged Algebra and Coding activities to take advantage of the commonalities between the two and their main concepts, like algorithms, variables, etc. When selecting resources I strive to find resources that help my students see themselves represented since most mainstream curriculums don’t show people that look like them.
Teachers Pay Teachers is an incredible online store with high-quality materials created by teachers.
