This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come from a variety of diverse backgrounds. I have second-language learners, native English speakers, students with autism, struggling readers, avid readers, ADD and ADHD students, and students from low and middle-class families.
At my school, we believe in "no excuses!" My students know that wherever they come from has little bearing on where they're going.
It is up to them and the choices they make to help them succeed. We have high academic and behavior expectations and they rise to meet the challenges set before them.
My Project
I was recently informed that I will be changing grade levels in June. I have been teaching third grade for seven years, but now I will be teaching second. I'm excited about this change, but a little unprepared as far as resources go.
TpT is a website that allows teachers to share their ideas and resources with other teachers.
I would like a TpT gift card so that I may purchase lesson plan ideas to support our adopted curriculum.
I intend to purchase lessons for escape rooms, addition and subtraction riddles, and second-grade reading passages that help foster fluency. I'm eager to begin this new endeavor and a TpT card will help my class get started on the right foot!
