Tower of Food

Help me give my students a hydroponic tower to grow lots of food in a small space.

My Project

This hydroponic tower will be able to grow lots of food in a small amount of space. We currently have a different, smaller hydroponic tower, but this one will be much better! Students will be able to construct the tower, formulate nutrient solutions and grow lots of leafy greens by the end of the school year. This system is very large and probably not something you would have at home, but with the lessons we learn about hydroponics, my kids will be able to do smaller scale hydroponics at home to feed their families.

We have been waiting for this system to become available, and now that it is available.

We will be able to hone our hydroponics skills and grow lots of food in a small space. We will compare this system with the aquaponics system we are building and see which one is better for the spaces we have on the farm. We can't wait to eat salad we grow ourselves!
