This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

All of my students are excited to start a new school year. I currently work in a bilingual school, where education is taught in English and Spanish. I teach second grade, math, and social studies. In class, students have the necessary materials to complete their activities. This helps them develop the necessary skills and create a more meaningful environment. It also helps them develop the self-esteem they need. However, I would like to have additional materials, such as glue sticks and tape, colorful motivational posters in Spanish, book loan cards, double-sided tape, and a guillotine. I would like to have everything necessary so my students feel comfortable and can connect their prior knowledge with new knowledge. As they progress, they will be able to work individually and in teams to develop their knowledge and skills. We will be able to immerse ourselves more and connect with the CA curriculum-based learning system. Above all, meeting the standards will allow them to become excellent students. This will improve the environment not only in the classroom but also in my school as a whole.
