My Students

I co-teach an inclusion class. Which means that I have about 19 students that are considered general education students because they do not have an Individual Education Plan (IEP). Some of the 19 are in the process of getting staffed into Exceptional Student Education and was suppose to have an IEP in place before the next school year. I have 10 students that are staffed and do have IEP's. Some of my students were placed in the class because their behavior is such that they require two teachers.

Although there is quite a bit going on in my classroom as far as behaviors and individuality there is still a great deal of learning.

I teach math and science which are the favorite subjects of most my student.

My Project

I want to print color graphic organizers to go along with the virtual field-trips to different countries including ours that have been effected by the corona-virus epidemic.

My students will learn from a scientific point of view what the corona-virus is, how it started, how it spreads, and how to protect themselves from it.

They will remember what they learn as they document the knowledge they obtain on such graphic organizers as KWL charts. My students will be working with me in whole group and in centers with their peers in small group.
