This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our team is young and talented, but seeking to increase mental and physical toughness. They will face uphill battles in the classroom, on the football field and life. Yet they are resilient and excited to face these challenges head on.
95% of my student-athletes are African American and 93% of them qualify for free or reduced lunch.
They recognize they are not where they need to be and work hard to get there. My school is on a mission of getting all kids not only to but through college. Sports is an avenue that aided me in getting to college, I want the same opportunities for me kids.
My Project
Football is a physical game. Our student-athletes need to be in the best physical condition possible to be safe and effective. Weighted sleds will develop endurance when drive blocking. Tackling wheels teach proper tackling form with low impact. Running chutes will provide good resistance as they practice their running form. Resistance bands will aid our student-athletes in stretching and flexibility.

Players that consistently train with the proper equipment and coaching are better able to perform on and off the field. These resources will be used for years to come for our football program. We appreciate your consideration.
