My "KinderCrocs" are growing up in a world where technology is a daily part of life.
I want them to be prepared, capable and comfortable using technology as a tool for learning, exploring and entertaining. Our school is in a rural part of Arizona. Our district has been unsuccessful in passing a bond or override, leaving teachers to rely on parent support for classroom essentials and luxuries.
My Project
I would love my kiddos to have access to iPads in our classroom for daily use during Daily 5 and Math Centers.
I want to build a collaborative classroom where my students can learn independently and become teachers to their peers, using technology as a tool to guide their learning process.
During Daily 5 iPads would allow my KinderCrocs to use virtual refrigerator magnets to practice spelling sight words, listen to a story, practice writing letters, and explore learning on their own. During Daily Math iPads can be used as a hands on way to practice counting, sequencing, addition, the list of possibilities is endless.
