Touching Lives with the Apple iPod Touch

My students need 4 Apple iPod Touch (8GB) to enhance their technology needs of the digital world. It will motivate them to learn and will be useful within all subjects.

My Students

Our school district faced a tragedy two years ago. A tornado came through our town and destroyed the elementary, middle, and high school. We lost many things and are still rebuilding. Our technology has decreased because of our situation, it is what students thrive upon, and we need your help.

My students love technology and it really motivates them to learn.

The two second grade classes both took a baseline reading test, one class with paper/pencil, and the other on the computer. I overheard them talking at recess and one student said, "That's not fair that you got to take a test on the computer and we didn't." Even though they were doing the same thing, the technology made a difference. Kids just love technology and I want to incorporate more of it in my classroom by using the Apple iPod Touch.

My Project

This technology will change the lives of my students because they will want to learn more and they can use the Apple iPod Touch in all subjects. For about 2-3 months during the school year, the computers in our school and not available because grades 3-5 are using them for the state testing. Having the Apple iPod Touch would help us still be able to use the Internet, take reading tests online, practice spelling, practice math skills, look up the weather, and many other things. There is an App for pretty much everything, so it will be very useful in the classroom.

Please help our school district out by purchasing this technology.

I promise it will enhance the lives of my students in many different ways, too many ways to count. Lots of my students lost their homes and school in the tornado that hit two years ago, so I know they appreciate the little things and this would be something they would totally appreciate having in the classroom.
