My Students

My students are from a rural, southern Louisiana area. They are eager to learn new things and know the importance of a great education. Students range in ages from 10-12 years old, which is the most important age for building a lifelong foundation for the love of learning.

These students are aware of the ever-growing need for a college degree.

Cooperative learning groups help my students to retain information longer. The benefits of collaborating with peers are endless. The skills acquired through socializing are beneficial to everyone.

My Project

In today's fast paced world of technology, students need to know about touch screen devices.

My students would greatly benefit from having touch screen devices in the classroom in order to keep up with technology.

This would ensure that they are career and college ready.

An ipad would mean that students could use apps for research and reading enhancement. They would have quick access to the internet. These would also be used with group work for vocabulary and comprehensive enhancement. Students would have access to hundreds of free apps that would benefit their knowledge of technology and how to use it.
