Touch Screen Chromebooks for Special Needs Students!

My Students

I teach Special Education at a Title I elementary school. Being a Title I school I serve many low-income families. I have a range of students from kindergarten through Fourth grade that I see daily. I teach two subjects: language and math. My kids have a love for learning and deserve to have the supplies needed to do so. Each year I see many students that I served the year before so I am able to make lasting relationships with the students and their families so that I can best determine what materials will help them succeed and grow.

My Project

So much of today's world is programmed around the ability to use technology. For many of my students that comes as an extra burden in their life.

Many of my students struggle with reading and writing so typing out the names of educational programs can prove to be taxing and time-consuming.

Having a touch screen Chromebook will make it easier for my students who struggle with hand-eye coordination.

Not having the coordination to use your hands and fingers properly can make trying to touch the right letter on the keyboard very frustrating. The screen touch computers that I am requesting would be used for those students who truly struggle to use a keyboard.
