Totally Tangraming

My students need Tangrams resources, to develop their hands-on understanding of equivalent fractions, spatial relationships, geometric shape concepts, and problem solving.

My Students

My students are very active learners who need manipulatives to really understand the concepts they are learning.

My students are friendly students who enjoy their recess times, physical education, any kind of movement, and singing.

They crave their play time and with manipulatives, like tangrams, they will think they are playing while they are learning their math concepts.

My Project

Many of my students learn best through hands-on experiences and physical movement. My students who have not typically experienced success in mathematics, will get to experience the joy and challenge of learning fractions and geometry through the use of the tangram manipulatives.

My classroom currently is lacking in manipulatives of every kind.

Tangrams will offer my students a chance to learn fractions and geometry in a very concrete way, which will open their eyes to the joy of mathematics and support their future learning.
