This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach grades 9-12 in an inner city high school, and I love my students dearly! They each have such unique personalities and humors that they bring into my classroom. Many of them are quiet but with the biggest hearts you'll ever meet. The ones that aren't quiet, you can hear coming down the hall from a mile away. They kept me involved in their lives and they were always so polite whenever they join or leave my classroom for the day. I even still have my previous year's students popping in to say hi once a week!

These supplies will restock what we used up last year so our students can start off the new year on the right foot!

We will be doing a lot more annotations this year, so the pens and pencils will be used on a regular basis in our classroom. We need a new pencil sharpener because my old one broke, the tape will be used to hang up student work and anchor charts around the room, the calendar will hang on the wall to help us pass our time in the school year, the containers will hold extra pens/pencils in the front of the room, the cleaner and white out will help us correct our mistakes, and the bookmarks will be used to help us keep track of our reading in our independent reading books.
