My Students
My students are amazingly talented, rising stars who will conquer and change the world. I have the honor of working with all grade-level students this year. I will be pulling and co-teaching the highest students and teaching them to be prepared for the next grade level. These students are charismatic and unique. The students have no complaints about working at a grade level higher but instead are seeing this as a significant challenge.
My Project
Students that can't read effectively fail to grasp important concepts, score poorly on tests and ultimately, fail to meet educational milestones. Reading books with strong literacy skills allow students to seek out information, explore subjects in-depth and gain a deeper understanding of the world around them.
These toon graphics books will be shared with third, fourth and fifth grade teams to allow those experiences and since they are nonfiction, students get real world experiences embedded.
Teachers also won’t have to spend hours searching for text sets and endless amount of dollars since we will have these resources for everyone to share.
