Help me give my students TOON graphics to improve their reading and literacy!

My Students

Remember the first graphic TOON novel or book that you read? Think about how reading a different type of material for the first time made you feel! Visualize the anticipation, and the great time you had as you watched the characters come alive in a book. My students enjoy reading! I can only imagine how highly motivated they are going to be to read this graphic TOON collection. They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration! I am lucky to teach a wonderful third-grade class at a Title I school. Many students are below the poverty level and are on government aid. We are located in a rural area that does not have all the opportunities for students that the larger urban areas have. I have a group of twenty amazing children who deserve the best education.

My English Language Learners, incorporating graphic toons can be important in engaging students in meaningful reading.

Please, help me captivate and motivate my students as they continue on their journey this school year in the classroom, face-to-face.

My Project

My "bookworms", otherwise known as my third graders, would love to get their hands and eyes on TOON graphics. This year they have been building up their reading stamina skills. Help me make this project come alive.

They'll be so excited and motivated to improve their reading skills as they read TOON graphics!

Their eyes will light up as they read about their favorite cartoon characters in TOON graphics.

I am looking forward to putting a new genre of reading material in their hands and watching their joyous smiles as they read, and read! I envision them reading on the rug.
