This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are enthusiastic learners who enjoy learning new things every day. They are curious and ask lots of questions because they want to learn more. They see school as a fun place where they can be challenged. My students are intelligent and need engaging activities that will unlock their full potential.

Our neighborhood is under-served and there are gangs and violence.

This does not hold students back from maximizing their full potential. Kids see our school as a safe haven.

My Project

I would like to add TOON books to my classroom library. My third grade students love reading books from my library, and this new addition would make a huge impact.

Many of these books are from the comic book genre, and my students will enjoy these books compared to traditional books.

I have students who are struggling with reading, and these books are easier reads which will improve the confidence of my students. For all reading levels in my class, these books will be fun for my good readers. I know they will enjoy reading them as well.
