Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! This past year we were unable to do something that is essential in a kindergarten classroom, share a space on a carpet for whole group learning. Instead of lessons on the carpet they were spent with each student at their own individual desks. My students are hands-on, active, and love to take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically.

My Project

My students currently keep materials in plastic baggies and this can get a little messy in kindergarten. I want to provide my students with pencil boxes they can use the entire year to keep their materials together! I"m also asking for some books we can use in our classroom library.

These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create.

My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy- every student book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunities to read
