This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our classroom, we know that when students use multi-model modes to construct their own learning, they understand concepts quicker and more deeply than they would without the materials. As we move further into our school year, we are focusing more on counting to 100 and addition and subtraction within 10.
Number charts, math center activities, ten frames and manipulatives are hands-on tools that help students develop and understand abstract concepts.
These materials will allow my students to construct their own knowledge around mathematics and share this learning with others in the classroom. These will help them develop number sense, number recognition, rote counting and one to one correspondence. The magnetic letter boards will help my students practice and learn to form numbers/letters correctly and eventually improve number writing.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, but you will also ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
