My Students

We are a close group of individuals, working hard to establish a community of strong learners and citizens. In our classroom, we have a total of 20 students with different strengths and room to grow. We focus a lot of our time on self reflection and ways to grow as not only students, but members of our school and community. We are still getting to know one another, as I have joined them mid-year, but they have opened up to me so much in this little amount of time. From the opening journal prompt, to our smooth station time, and ending the day by awarding the daily "Awesome Student" award, our small class's motivation and willingness to achieve is growing more and more each day.

My Project

There are many times that my students feel burdened when it comes to working in the small spaces they have in the classroom. When testing, they sometimes become frustrated by the space they share with others. These privacy blockers could be a great help for them!

Students thrive when given the tools and support they need.

Having a tablet in the classroom could provide technology supports for my students with varying IEPs, as well as give some students a time to clear their minds with tablet time. I have one iPad currently and I have seen a major improvement in some of my EBD students whom can take a moment to clear their heads.
