My Project
Many of my students receive small group support for special education in the area of social and behavior. Engaging tools and methods for practice that pair with our social emotional learning curriculum are essential for my students' growth. To support student growth and development in the area of social emotional learning, our school uses the curriculum "Zones of Regulation." I have a teacher manual, but I have no other tools that pair with the curriculum to best support students. The items in this project will support students in better understanding the curriculum lessons, in building and retaining strategies that support regulation within each zone, and in developing their overall social emotional growth. These project items include posters, storybooks, and games to be used in tandem with our existing curriculum. With these tools, my students' engagement in their social emotional learning will increase, and their learning will too!
