My Project
Have you ever found yourself doodling during a meeting, or twirling your pen while you're thinking? We all have self-regulation strategies that help us focus when we're anxious or bored. Personally, I play with coil hair bands. I'd like to provide sensory materials that help my students focus while they're listening or reading.
Using sensory items help my students focus throughout the day.
I already have some items available for my students to use, and they are used daily. There's a tub in the room where these materials are held and students can borrow them at any time during class.
I'd like to offer more of the most popular items, as well as provide more of a variety of items for students to borrow during class. The bubble timers and links are the most popular items, and I think the marble mazes and sensory stickers will be big hits too.
