it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Each week, I have my students for an advisory period. What resonates most with them is learning how to manage their stress. Coming back from weird times with the same old expectations has been very hard on them, and they are struggling to manage their time and workload properly.
As a strong believer in yoga and meditation practice, I have worked with my students teaching them breathing exercises and stretches that can be done in their seats to help them relax and face their stressors.
With these mats, we can clear the desks and begin to do floor poses in a less formal setting, and with the cards, students can become engaged in picking the poses we learn themselves.
