My Students

I have 22 kindergarten students in my class this year. My school is located in a rural, foothill community. There are some students who live in a gated community close to my school, some of my students have parents in the Air Force, and some of my students qualify for free and/or reduced lunch. I love my interactions with my students and I wouldn't choose to spend my day any other way!

I believe in my district so much that although I don't live in Penn Valley, I have driven my daughter down to Penn Valley with me each day for the past nine years!

My Project

Students come to school with a range of fine motor skills. Many of my students come to school without fine motor skills, partly due to the students not having attended preschool or transitional kindergarten, and partly because students spend lots of time interacting with an electronic device, not working on strengthening their overall fine motor skills. They need the time to work with these types of tools in order to improve their overall fine motor skills.

These tools will help my students to work on their fine motor skills in a fun and engaging way.
