This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Sharing ideas in class can be intimidating for any student, but it doesn't have to be when students have the tools and opportunities to think before they speak, editing their ideas as they go. These supplies will be used to help students get more engaged in class-discussions. The post-it notes will be used for things like silent discussions, idea exchanges, polling, peer feedback, and self-reflection. The colored paper will be used for things like source conversations, line-of-reasoning visualizations, idea classification, and other projects to get students to share ideas and help them visualize what they and their peers are thinking.
