Help me give my students pencils, post its, expo markers, highlighters, tape and glue in order to be successful within the classroom. My students come in every day asking for these items on a daily basis.
My students live in an urban area where daily needs are not always met. I am requesting school supplies such as pencils, highlighters, tape, glue and post its to make sure each one of my students is prepared for each and every day of the school year. With the supplies, my students will have a better chance of focusing on their academics opposed to worrying about how they are going to write for that day. Having supplies in my classroom will help my students achieve academic success.
I teach in a diverse population of students in a Title I school.
Many of my students are English Language Learners or have a learning disability. Having a variety of books for my students to choose from is key to keep their learning new and interesting. It will also keep them from worrying about where they will get their next read from and keep them interested in reading.
My Project
Having accessible tools in the classroom will allow these students to be successful in their work. We are a Title I school where most of these students struggle to have the necessary writing tools in the classroom every day. Some of our students' come into class with a writing tool and others don't, so they ask every day for a writing tool. As a teacher, I supply these writing tools and keep them in the classroom for my students but when they forget to return them, I run out. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
