Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am continuously amazed by the curiosity and enthusiasm for learning that radiates from my elementary numeracy math intervention class. Each day, I witness their unwavering determination to conquer mathematical challenges and their eagerness to explore new concepts. What makes my students truly special is their resilience; despite facing various obstacles, they approach each problem with a positive attitude and an unwavering belief in their ability to succeed. Their thirst for knowledge is inspiring, and it is my greatest joy to guide them on their educational journey.

The resources I am requesting will play a pivotal role in enhancing my students' learning experiences. Rekenreks, with their tactile and visual elements, will provide concrete representations for abstract mathematical concepts, making it easier for my students to grasp fundamental ideas such as counting, addition, and subtraction. A document camera will allow me to demonstrate problem-solving strategies in real-time, providing a clear and accessible view for all students.
